Biography
Shamon is a sixth generation Columbia native. Daughter of a single mother of five who was a Sunday School teacher and choir director. And, the daughter of University of Missouri scholar and awesome dad whose relationship has grown over time. Raised Christian by a mother nicknamed the "scripture lady." She has also done peer counseling, cheerleading and enjoys doing art. Shamon also taught Sunday School and praise classes filling in for her mother during her last battle with breast cancer. When she lost her mother and other family members, she became intrigued with her family history. That led to a passion for the preservation of not just her own family history, but other families in the community with deep roots. Shamon is currently a top performer, Multi-State Regional Manager for an American multinational Fortune 500 conglomerate holding company.
